Empowering Wellness Through Specialized Training

At the Marius Maximus Foundation, we are committed to providing individuals and communities with the tools needed to enhance mental well-being, build resilience, and manage life's challenges. Our courses are tailored to equip participants with practical skills for wellness and recovery.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)

Training ($85) (15 participants)

Our WRAP training is a comprehensive 20-hour course designed to help individuals develop personalized action plans to maintain mental health and wellness. Participants learn to identify triggers, early warning signs, and create coping strategies. Currently, WRAP is used to fulfill the North Carolina Peer Support Certification requirements, making it an essential step for those looking to pursue a career in peer support and mental health advocacy.

Payment for WRAP is due 1 week before the class. Unless the trainer has been contacted and an arrangement has been made.

Question, Persuade, Refer
(QPR)

Training (Free) (25 participants)

QPR training is a 2-hour course that teaches participants to recognize the signs of a mental health crisis and intervene effectively. This evidence-based training introduces a simple three-step process: Question the individual, Persuade them to seek help, and Refer them to appropriate resources. QPR empowers individuals to act as gatekeepers within their communities, helping prevent suicides through timely and effective intervention.

Counseling on Access Against Lethal Means
(CALM)

(Free) (25 participants)

Our CALM training, which focuses on "Access Against," is a 4-hour session that equips participants with the knowledge to reduce access to lethal means during a crisis. The training provides essential guidance on how to engage in sensitive conversations about safely storing firearms, medications, and other hazardous items, creating safer environments for individuals at risk of harm.

Social-Emotional Learning
(SEL)

(Free) (35 participants)

SEL classes are offered as flexible, hourly sessions that cover a range of topics designed to enhance emotional intelligence and personal growth. With varying subjects, these classes address essential skills such as emotional regulation, self-awareness, relationship-building, and responsible decision-making. SEL training is ideal for those looking to improve their emotional skills and apply them in everyday situations.
